Last Friday I went out with a friend's good friend who then became my good friend as well to have some random girl talk. Usually, I prefer to hang out in coffee shops because what's so bad about being part of the bandwagon, right? Besides, caffeine has been my best-est friend for the longest time. Anyway, since my friend isn't really so much of a coffee fan, we decided to just meet up in Shang so we could have a variety to choose from. As we were walking around the place, she noticed the TWG shop and insisted we stay there. I never really liked tea 'cause I have this mentality that they're either bland or bitter. But after trying it out in TWG Tea Salon & Boutique, I have to take back my words.
We ordered a set each of 1837 from their Tea Time Set Menu which included any of the TWG tea and a choice of either cake or two muffins/scones. I had blueberry cheesecake and coffee-infused tea while my friend ordered something with strawberry and a citrusy-flavored tea. To be honest, we had a hard time choosing what tea flavor to get since the long list was just overwhelming. It was good that the waiter was kind enough to ask us what food and drinks suit our taste and how we were feeling that day so as he could suggest the best tea flavor for us. He even gave us samples of those in our shortlist to help us decide and kept attending to our needs without being annoying.
Needless to say, the place was very comfortable and the classy music just added to the already wonderful ambience of the place. You could feel like a princess with the opulent interiors and excellent service.
I am definitely going back. Cheers for my new-found love!
